The separator filter removes oil from the airstream before the air is sent downstream. Changing the separator element on an annual basis will increase your energy efficiency by reducing the pressure drop across the sump tank. This separator will also prevent oil from getting into your downstream production equipment. This Ingersoll Rand separator element should be changed annually or every 4,000 hours, whichever occurs first. When changing the separator element, it is also recommended to change the compressor oil, oil filter, and air filter element.

This separator element was widely used on many (but not all) of Ingersoll Rand’s 20-30hp rotary screw air compressors that had serial numbers starting with JX. These models were commonly referred to as their ‘Jaguar’ compressors.

The original part number for this separator element was 39831888, however this part is no longer available and supersedes to 54595442
