Ingersoll Rand Gas Spring Belt Tensioning Device 54749114

54749114 is a gas spring belt tensioning strut. This is used when changing the belt on several models of the Ingersoll Rand rotary screw UP6 air compressors. This is an OEM part manufactured by Ingersoll Rand and was most commonly used on the UP6 20-30hp compressors, as well as the newer version of the UP6S series.

The gas spring is designed to keep proper tension on the belt and should be changed anytime the belt is changed. Ingersoll rand recommends changing the gas spring and belt every 8,000 hours or every two years.
